I know I haven’t posted my verses of the week in a while, so I decided to today. God has truly been working in my life in so many ways and He has used these verses to draw me closer to Him. I hope you find them encouraging and uplifting.
But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.
I absolutely love this verse! It is filled with so much truth. It is SO good to be near God.
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
I chose this verse to remind me to get rid of all filth and cling to the One who saves.
I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
This verse is beautiful. Jesus, the Savior, has provided a way for us to receive an undivided heart and a new spirit.
1 John 3:1
How great is the love the Father has lavished upon us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him
On this day, I needed to be reminded of God’s great love! This verse is full of the riches of His love.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The words in this verse are my prayer because I cling to the hope He gives.
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
I love the way this verse in Lamentations describes some characteristics of God. I encourage YOU to get to know Him personally.
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
When I chose this verse, I needed to let go and press on toward what God has called me to. This is a great reminder of the prize we as believers will receive one day!
