These are just a few of the many verses that have been on my heart recently. I hope they encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus and His greatness. This month I have really been focussing on my life as a follower of Christ and what that looks like. //
- Joshua 1:9 (Fighting Fear) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
This is my absolute favorite verse! How beautiful that our Lord is with us wherever we go.
- Deuteronomy 33:27a (Finding Comfort)
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
This verse is so comforting. Remember that God is ALWAYS with you (Joshua 1:9) and He is our refuge.
- Isaiah 61:10 (Choosing Joy)
I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Delight in Him for He has done glorious things. Rejoice in Him for He is the source of all true and pure joy.
- Philippians 3:8 (Knowing Jesus)
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord,
Nothing compares to life with Jesus. Always remember that.
- Ephesians 3:17b-19 (Covered in Love)
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
His wondrous love is so unfathomable because of how beautiful and strong it is. His love fills us.
- 1 Peter 2:9 (You are Chosen)
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Remember that you are chosen.
- Ephesians 4:1-2 (Living it out)
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Because you are chosen (1 Peter 2:9) and because you have no reason to fear (Joshua 1:9), strive to live a life worthy of the precious calling you have received.
