Daring to Hope (Katie Davis Majors)

This is by far one of the best books I have ever read! In fact, it’s so good that I’ve re-read numerous chapters. If you haven’t heard Katie’s story, you can read about it here. Katie is 100% raw and honest in the pages of her book and shares about her journey of wrestling with God and choosing to believe with all her heart that God IS who He says He is. If you want a writer who truly understands what it means to exemplify Christ and who is honest about the inner wrestling of a Christ Follower, this one’s for you!

You Are Free (Rebekah Lyons)

If you find yourself caught in comparison and feel like you’re never going to be enough…this book is for you! If you’ve bought into the lies of the enemy and have forgotten God’s Truth, please, read this book! If you feel like you’ve fallen away from God because you’re too focussed on other things, this book is for you. In this book, Rebekah shares her story of how God worked in her life to overcome what was holding her back from Him.

Radical (David Platt)

This is a groundbreaking book that shows how the American Dream is not Biblical. If you’re a Christ-follower and this statement doesn’t align with what you believe, then I challenge you to read this book. I have to be honest, Radical is not an easy-read because it really challenges American church culture and where we are today. But that being said, it is 100% worth the read because it is so eye-opening! Be set free from what is less than God’s Kingdom!

Uninvited (Lysa TerKeurst)

If you have ever struggled with insecurities, big or small (which, let’s be honest, we all have at some point), this one’s for you! I love how Lysa identifies and rebukes the lies we have been told throughout our lives and then replaces them with God’s Truth.

In His Image (Jen Wilkin)

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this one. Please. Please. Stop everything you’re doing and go purchase this book right now. I just finished reading it yesterday and IT IS LIFE-CHANGING. God’s will for our lives is revealed all throughout Scripture. It is not hidden from us. It is not something we need to spend our entire lives trying to figure out before we even take a step into His will. No, He lays out His will for every Believer right in the pages of His Word. Jen walks the reader through ten characteristics of God found in Scripture and how each one reveals a piece of God’s will for the life of every Christ-follower. If you have ever found yourself in a season of “what is God’s will for my life,” or “what does God want me to do,” READ THIS BOOK.
